First released in 2007, the survival-thriller I am Legend is back on the agenda after 16 years. Will Smith, the leading actor of the movie, talked about I am Legend 2 at an event he attended.

Will Smith has shared new information about the I Am Legend sequel in development. Saying that it will follow the story of the first movie, Smith stated that the ending of the movie will be handled in an alternative way.
If you haven’t seen the movie yet, Smith plays a character named Dr. Robert Neville. He is trying to survive alone in a world overrun by vampire-like characters. He has to give up some of his values while looking for other people.
Smith stated that the script work for I Am Legend 2 has been completed and they have started preparations for shooting. He reported that the script will be a continuation of the alternative mythology that was only available on DVD in 2007. However, it is not yet clear how the story will be connected.
“We’re following the mythology that my character lived through in the DVD version, but I can’t tell you that anymore,” Smith said, without giving any details about the plot. I Am Legend 2 will also co-star Michael B. Jordan.
The survival-thriller series is actually expected to be a trilogy. However, we will see in time how the I am Legend series, which is being talked about for the first time after 16 years, will resonate. Let us remind you that the release date for the new movie is uncertain.
